Jason Miller joins Sierra's management team as President

UVALDE, TX – February 17, 2014 – SkyWay Group founder and CEO Mark Huffstutler is proud to announce that aviation veteran Jason Miller has joined Sierra Industries, Ltd. to serve in the capacity of President. Mr. Miller assumed the newly created position on January 20, 2014. Jason is a licensed Commercial Pilot, holding Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings.
Mr. Miller will lead Sierra Industries’ growing aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) organization. His proven leadership skills and intimate knowledge of the aviation business, spanning disciplines from strategic planning to maintenance support to financial management, will make a significant contribution to Sierra’s capabilities.

A graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Miller spent a decade serving in the U. S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Major and earning numerous commendations and medals. He led and flew more than 70 air combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning six Air Medals in the process. He also gained extensive leadership experience in planning, logistics and aircraft maintenance, planning some 700 missions and developing key improvements in operational management and maintenance, inspection and quality training.

Following his USMC service, Mr. Miller was employed by StandardAero as Finance Manager. In that role, he spearheaded significant improvements in the company’s gross margin, budgetary process and forecasting, analysis and reporting tools. During his tenure, he also earned an M.B.A. from Rice University in Houston, Texas.

In 2009, Jason became Vice President/General Manager of StandardAero’s Houston business unit, supervising a workforce of 100 employees. While in this position, he developed and implemented numerous strategic initiatives that resulted in substantial improvements in overall revenue, customer and employee satisfaction.

SkyWay Group CEO Mark Huffstutler commented, “I am excited to add Jason and his experience to the Senior Leadership Team at the SkyWay Group. I have tasked Jason with growth of Sierra’s MRO business, expansion of our San Antonio operations and the integration of new and exciting products to the Sierra offerings. I see our segment of the industry, corporate business jets, at the leading edge of a growth period in which MRO and modifications will be active. Jason’s guidance as we grow will be welcomed.”
